Great quiet location to explore Salzburg, Hallstatt and the surrounding area (if you have a car). Place was new and had a big, well-equipped kitchen which was very useful for us. Especially a functional stove+hood as we cooked a lot. Other extras like big TV, heated bathroom flooring, vaccuum etc were much appreciated too! Spacious and huge windows opened out to a beautiful view, sunset right from the living room! Would definitely recommend this place if you have a car and are spending some time in the area.

Plötzhof is a quirky old home full of character and very well appointed in the kitchen and bathroom without losing any of the old charm. We enjoyed exploring the area especially a trip to the Hallstatt salt mine and the lakes closer to the property. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much

The main social area — the living room — had a large table and a comfortable sofa. The balcony was a great space to share and relax. We also made use of the mobile grill on the outdoor terrace, which was available for guests and perfect for evening barbecues. We appreciated the garage, which we used for storing bicycles, playing ping-pong, and even charging our electric vehicle. We were a group of four adults and two teenagers. The area offers endless opportunities for both short and long hikes or bike rides, and swimming in the beautiful lake was another highlight. Every bedroom had its own bathroom with a toilet, which added a lot of comfort to our stay. The owner, who once lived in the house, clearly has a deep affection for the property. She was very kind and welcoming, and immediately upon our arrival, she offered us a variety of great suggestions for places to visit and things to do.
