And the host.... She is amazing! More people like her in this world!

What a beautiful place, thank you for sharing it with other people! We‘ve enjoyed our stay to the max. Everything has been perfect and uncomplicated, from the first contact until the end of our stay. Stunning views of sunrise and sunset right above the cliffs, usage of the pool and jacuzzi at any time. The room is equipped with a microwave, a little fridge and a coffee machine. You don‘t hear much more than the surf and the animals. The Wild Blue Water is definitely a recommendation and worth a visit!

The property is absolutely wonderful. Nice, natural landscaping that let's you feel immersed in the Hawaiian rainforest. Feels very secluded and private, while also feeling safe and welcoming. Its walking distance to a black sand, clothing optional, beach. I will definitely book here again when visiting the Big Island. I would feel safe here as a solo traveler. Stephen greeted us when we arrived to the property and was so welcoming. I immediately felt at ease in his presence. He gave us a tour and showed us to our rooms, let us know how to reach him if we needed anything. Our smoke alarm was going off one night and he came right over, checked it out and swapped the battery, fixing the problem. I traveled with a friend and we each had separate rooms. The house feels more home like, relaxing front porch, solid wood furniture, and everything you'd need. Both rooms were clean and beds comfortable. At first, I thought my bed may be too soft, but I slept SO good and woke with no pains, feeling refreshed, so it must have been just right. Bath and beach towels were in our rooms, a bathrobe, a list of hosted and local activities we may be interested in, and a little bowl of snacks too. I also appreciated they had sunscreen and bug spray available.

With a private bathroom fitted with a shower and a hair dryer, units at the bed and breakfast also feature free WiFi. Guests can grab a bite to eat in an outdoor dining area at the bed and breakfast. Orchid tree is exceptionally beautiful, totally solar powered with a beautiful pool, hot tub and landscaping, a large lanai for relaxing and the room is truly large with lounge able furniture , pristine clean. Many places we’ve stayed give you pictures that don’t really represent the place when you arrive. However orchid tree is wonderful as are the hosts, both friendly and responsive ! Breakfast was just fine with fresh fruit, yogurt, granola and a good selection of Juices , breads, cream cheese, etc as well as freshly ground coffee. (Plenty for us but if you are an egg type there’s always places in town). But the lanai, the waves crashing, the superb coffee, we didn’t need more!

Located 17 km from Kilauea, Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant offers 3-star accommodation in Volcano and features a garden, a shared lounge and a bar. The property is situated 38 km from Pana'Ewa Rainforest Zoo, 42 km from University Of Hawaii, Hilo and 44 km from The Pacific Tsunami Museum. The inn has a hot tub and luggage storage space. We stayed at the Lodge for 3 nights and fall in love immediately. The staff was very friendly, the room was absolutely cute and perfectly cleaned and the dinner at the Lodge was excellent (you should try the Volcanoes wine made in the area!). Drinking water and parking were for free. The location was great, since we were there for hiking in the Volcanoes National Park, which is only 5-10 mins drive away. You can use the fire place in the common area for free and enjoy a relaxing evening. There is no TV in the room, which we loved. Time to talk and read a book. A rain forest nature trail belongs to the Lodge's area as well.

Each suite at the Wyndham Mauna Loa Village offers a full kitchen and in-unit washer/dryer. They have a spacious living room and bedrooms as well as multiple TVs and DVD players. A furnished balcony with garden or golf course views is also featured. Amazing huge 2 floor apartment, nicely decorated, extremely well equipped, beautiful surroundings, great location. Perfect!

All rooms feature a private lanai with an ocean view, air conditioning, a seating area, internet access, a refrigerator, a coffee machine, and a flat screen TV with cable channels. The en suite bathroom includes free toiletries, a hairdryer, bathrobes, and slippers. Beautiful, spacious hotel. We loved everything about this place! We had wonderfull time, definitely if I’d visit Big Island again, would choose this hotel.

The en suite bathroom includes a hairdryer and ironing facilities. Everything. Amazing value for a very comfortable stay in a good location with easy access to all the good beaches within 20 minutes drive. This property felt like a home. We were very comfortable and everything was spotless. Huge supermarket 2 minutes away. Our flight back home left at 10 pm and we were able to leave our luggage all day and even take showers before making our way to the airport. Highly recommend.
