It had a nice patio, really good shower, star link internet, a smart TV, great kitchen and super clean linens. I highly recommend Avalon resort.

Situated just 20 km from Opua Forest, FOREST WATERS features accommodation in Haruru with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as a shared kitchen. This property offers access to a terrace, tennis at the tennis court, free private parking and free WiFi. The bed and breakfast has an outdoor fireplace and a hot tub. The surroundings are well kept and the rooms are very clean and cozy. We travelled as a couple with one adult child and the accommodation upstairs suited us perfectly. The hosts were very welcoming and caring. We got all the recommendations for the day in the area. Forest Waters are convenient for everything you want to do in the Bay of Islands. Also the food served at breakfast was excellent, everything home made, from the garden/farm or from the farmer’s market. Delphine and Guillaume went far and beyond. Merci, Delphine and the family!

Beautiful place to stay, you have everything you need, including a full kitchen, smart tv, comfortable bed. You can park in front of the door and it is walking distance from all the restaurants. We had a lot of rain while we were here and we were so happy we were staying in such a comfortable place.

We liked Bellrock Lodge and this little village so much, we even extended our stay! :) It is worth staying longer in Kororareka Russell and especially at Bellrock Lodge, so let us tell you why: Bellrock Lodge is situated on a little hill (if you walk, there are a few steep meters) and because of that, you will have the most amazing views from your terrace over the coast. On clear days you will even see as far as Waitangi. The apartment and the terrace are quite spacious, even the bathroom offers more than usual space in rental properties. It is very nice equipped. The garden is beautiful so you also see beautiful garden greenery from the terrace. The hosts Catherine and Stuart are very kind and responded fast via WhatsApp. Their sweet dog Piper was also a great host and excited to offer play time with her favorite football and such :D Catherine and Stuart were always very hospitable, so for instance, if you get in a morning rain like us, getting new towels is easy peasy, just a message/call away ;-) The Lodge offers great amendities: laundry, dryer, DVD Library (great selection, we loved it), CD and Book Library aswell... To top it off, the Whirlpool and BBQ area are great, with superb views also. We loved to enjoy the Spa, especially on rainy days. In addition to that, we highly appreciated how thoughtful everything is equipped, there are umbrellas in the driveway, wineglasses from plastic for the Spa, different chairs (even comfy reading/TV chairs), more than 2 different towel sizes and many more things like that.. We have travelled a lot and Bellrock Lodge is one of our favorites. You nearly forget, that you are at a self-service accomendation because everything is so thoughtfully done. It is worth staying longer, you can experience a lot in the area, walk to the beaches from Bellrock if you want to, get groceries and have great restaurants/cafés in town.

Located in Paihia in the Northland region, with Te Ti Bay Beach and Paihia Harbour nearby, Bonnie view spa pool and sauna provides accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. The air-conditioned accommodation is 11 km from Opua Forest. Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, the non-smoking villa features a sauna. The location was perfect with just a short 5 min walk into town, and the view was absolutely stunning. The bed was comfortable and king sized as advertised. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to make breakfast in the morning. The deck was large with assorted chairs and loungers. The hot tub was nice but had an issue I will mention later.

Location was fantastic!, accommodation was lovely and clean. beds comfortable, kitchen was well stocked i.e salt pepper foil , coffee machine, etc. cannot complain

Towels and bed linen are provided in the villa. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. Amazing property. The views were incredible and it was just so peaceful.

Down to earth NZ offers an open-air bath and free private parking, and is within 22 km of Opua Forest and 14 km of Kemp House and Stone Store. The property features garden views and is 17 km from Haruru Falls and 24 km from Paihia Harbour. Guests can make use of a garden. Amazing set up and complete privacy. Highly recommended for a relaxing time away for couples. Well set up with a solar powered charging point for devices etc and with barbecue facilities. We loved the outdoor bathtub, hammock and swing area. The compost toilet was very clean. Overall a great experience.
