This is an out of the way, little family run hotel. We liked it for just that reason. It's right on the beach and there are opportunities to see Tortugas at night and possibly hatched babies working their way to the ocean. There is a small restaurant with a sufficient menu and plenty of beer. Unfortunately, it closes at 5:00 so be sure to plan ahead. The room was a very basic but clean Mexican style room. We had plenty of hot water which was nice.

HOTEL EL CONQUISTADOR MONARCA. Is a 3-star property located in Zitácuaro. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. The accommodation provides a fitness centre, hot tub, restaurant and free WiFi throughout the property. Our room was on the second floor, spacious and full of light, very clean. The shower was working perfectly. Staff was kind and helpful.
