The hotel is right at the seafront and the small pool on the roof is extra! When we came back to Chetumal for our ferry, we stayed here again and would do so anytime in the future!

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a plunge pool, Villa con jacuzzi en Bacalar is located in Buenavista. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking. The villa has an outdoor fireplace and a hot tub. The hosts provided many information before our arrival and waited for us even though we arrived late. The villa itself is beautiful, big, modern and has everything that we needed. We strongly recommend renting it and it’s a pitty we didn’t get to stay there longer!

Guests can relax in the garden at the property. The place was spacious and 5he bed was so comfortable. The location was a very easy walk to the mall and like 10 minute drive to airport. AC units worked really great. Good decor and set up. Easy access. The soaps and shampoos provided smelled amazing!

At the villa complex, units include a private bathroom and bed linen. My wife and I spent 3 nights at this Xcalak hotel and I highly recommend it. The cabanas and the grounds are beautiful and the owner, Carlos, and his staff are all extremely cordial and helpful. My wife and I used the kayaks to paddle out from the hotel to the reef and go snorkeling. The staff also helped us to arrange a snorkeling trip by boat and it worked out great. I'm so happy that we did it. We enjoyed many meals in the restaurant, as well as drinking our coffee (they make it fresh every morning and provide milk) and evening cocktails up on the roof deck over the kitchen. The view of the sea and the jungle is amazing. My tip: do bring some food or at least some snacks. The hotel restaurant is not open during lunch. You could go into town to eat, but we preferred to stay at our cabana. The staff lent us everything we needed to make a simple lunch. Go to Xcalak and stay at Sol y Arena! It's a wonderful adventure!

Great location, best service, new rooms and great facilities. The pool is amazing as well as the restaurant in the hotel. Highly recommend and best value for money.

Boasting accommodation with a pool with a view, lake view and a balcony, Xoot Kaana Villa Vista Laguna is set in Bacalar. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The aparthotel has a hot tub and a 24-hour front desk. There were so many things to like about this property. We visited for our honeymoon and it was a perfect spot to experience Bacalar, We rented the room that is directly above the dock and next to the restaurant and it was a great location. We walked right out of our room into the restaurant area and out onto the dock. Our private balcony had a fantastic view so we spent a lot of time up there when we weren’t in the water. The only downside to this location is that at night the restaurant got a little bit loud on the weekend, during the week, it was quiet by 10 PM, which was perfectly fine by us. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. My Spanish isn’t great, but they were very patient with me at the restaurant as I often struggled a little to translate things - despite that everything always came out perfect. The pool area was beautiful but we never used it personally. We estimated it took about 10 to 12 minutes from the resort to the main road and then another five into town. We went to town every day that we were there and back and had a great time. Special thanks to the restaurant servers and to Blanca at the front desk for being so sweet and helpful!
