A wonderful place with amazing hosts. They cared for me like a member of their own family—kind, helpful, and attentive. The house and garden were beautiful, set in a quiet countryside village far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The atmosphere was peaceful and truly special. Staying there was a beautiful experience and a glimpse of Japan you won’t find in big cities.

We loved the attention to detail, especially the vintage record player with Japanese vinyls and how well stocked the kitchen was (oil, spices, rice, coffee etc. - the best we had in Japan!). Staff was very accommodating. Very spacious, perfect for our group. We had to change the group size due to a mistake of our own and it was very easy to resolve, thank you for that. We had a great time!

This is a very large property with lots of space for a family. It’s Japanese style but there are also western style beds if you prefer. The owner is very kind and left many snacks and food for us to enjoy. She is an excellent communicator. The location is perfect - right next to Nara station

10 mins drive away from Nara Park, quiet little house away from the crowd. Clean and comfortable with free use of its facilities. The host is accommodating and even provides recommendations on food around the area. He speaks good English, so communication is easy. As we are unable to reserve a slot at the strawberry farm over the phone, he did so willingly despite being outstation in Tokyo. We had a good stay in this peaceful and lovely house.

However, what truly sets this hotel apart is the remarkable team of professionals who go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome and taken care of. We had the pleasure of returning to Nara after 18 years, and the staff had prepared a thoughtful welcome note and even surprised us with a complimentary dessert dish for breakfast, accompanied by a note. The front desk staff were attentive to our every request, question, and need, always going the extra mile to ensure our satisfaction. They provided us with fantastic suggestions that were off the beaten path, beyond what one could find in travel guides, and their recommendations for local restaurants were top-notch. Additionally, we are immensely grateful that we were able to find refuge at the Marriott Nara during Typhoon Lan. Throughout the entire ordeal, we felt safe and well-cared for.
