We booked the room with a private onsen for our honeymoon. We arrived with our rental car and were greeted by the valet whom parked our car. We were then seated to a separate table where a lady (who I assumed is the manager) talked a bit of English and explained the rules (onsens) and times (breakfast and dinner). She then walked us through our room (no elevators btw). The room was a beautiful traditional Japanese Ryokan. It is right next to the flowing river. I wouldn't recommend opening the window though due to the insects. The bathroom is very nice and the shower is outdoors next to the private onsen. The beds on the tatami will be set up for you while you are having dinner. The dinners and breakfasts were delicious and yes very exotic (horse/deer sashimi, boar soup and tiny deep fried crabs). The flavours and portions were abundant. The lovely and friendly lady that served us for dinner explained everything very well and she was a happy personality. Overall, I loved the whole traditional experience and felt very relaxed throughout the stay. Definitely recommend if you are coming here to unwind and eat delicious food.

Every need was addressed, they even left us a fresh apple juice in the fridge and a welcome note. Rooms were huge and the beds were really comfortable. The kids enjoyed playing with the toys 🧸 and to jump on the small trampoline outside.

The complimentary drinks were all delicious, and the quality of the meat and vegetables was top-notch. The ravioli and sausages for breakfast were also exquisite. Lounge: We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance of the interior and the art displayed. The books and photographs provided great conversation starters, and the alcohol flowed, making for a delightful time. Sky Spa: The atmosphere of the open-air jacuzzi was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed the view.

We loved everything about it. The goldens were so sweet! The hotsprings were great and we didn't have to wait because you have different options. Dinner and breakfast were great! There was so much food and all of it was great!

Massages can be requested for an extra cost and guests can also relax in the spacious public baths. Accidentially booked a smoking room. It was not a problem to change to a non-smoking room at the woman only floor. The floor was very woman friendly with free woman products (hairband, eye mask, comb etc) and a extensive assortment of badproducts. Breakfast was oriental style. There were free drinks on the second floor, but also vending machines.

It was nice to be so close to the train station and I’ll never forget when the manager sat down and played the piano while we ate dinner.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, the non-smoking holiday home features a hot tub. the location was great and parking space good for 2 SUVs. There was toilet on 2nd level where the bedrooms were and convenient for the senior and young. There were 2 washers and dryers which was a plus for long travel. There was a projection screen which helped entertained the little ones and the living room/communal place was cleverly designed with nice furniture and aesthetics. Importantly the house had good heating system for all rooms during the cold autumn which we all greatly appreciated.
