It's a bit of a hike up the hill but a leisurely downhill stroll to town and there is a bus to bring you back. 20-25 minute walk to shops and beach but the trade off is the incredible view from the property. The breakfast was generous and delicious - pastries, yoghurt, cereal and fruit. The staff were so lovely and accomodating, they picked me up from and dropped me off to the ferry, gave lots of information about the bus network and were generally available for all questions and requests. The property was very clean and well kept. Bonus is the pool, sauna and spa!

Situated halfway between Casamicciola Terme and Ischia, 5 km from Baia di San Montano, Villa Araucaria features an outdoor pool and a bar. The Castiglione Thermal Baths are 10 minutes' walk away.

We spent four unforgettable days at Villa Araucaria and it was nothing short of magical. The villa itself is spotless: spotlessly clean, beautifully designed and fully equipped to cook like at home. The views were also absolutely magical and can be enjoyed from several areas around the villa. The peace and quiet surrounding the house made it a perfect oasis to relax in. The pool is the cleanest we have ever seen and the lush garden is maintained daily and looks spotless every day. Carlo could not welcome us but Nausicaa management agency took care of us and made sure our stay was absolutely magical ❤️ We were a group of nine and everyone agreed that this is the best villa we have ever stayed in and we would happily return. Breakfasts (and other meals) are in a beautiful open air covered patio overlooking the swimming pool and palm trees. Recommend the mezza pensione/half board in which dinner is included. The dinners include several antipasti/appetizers, a primo/pasta, a secondo/meat which was usually fresh local fish, dessert, and wine made by the owners. Very good value for the money and everything was freshly made at the moment! A bonus: the best beach on Ischia, San Francesco, is an easy 10-minute walk from the residence. Will definitely return! The staff is like family!
