It was clean, comfortable beds and temperature, spacious, had everything we needed, well equipped kitchen with some food leftovers, communication with the owners was good and easy, easy check in and check out, close to dinner options and close to the airport although still an expensive taxi ride as seems to be the case in Iceland. Recommended.

The family-run Guesthouse 1x6 is in the old part of Keflavík, a 7-minute drive from Keflavik International Airport and a 20-minute drive from the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. A delicious home made breakfast that was healthy and tasty. Included a slice of rhubarb pie that is a family recipe from Andi’s mom back in Sweden. They offered slippers to wear around indoors, and sandals to wear outdoors. So much chilled water available in a small fridge. A very clean bathroom and shower with nice amenities. All of that was great, but having pleasant hosts was much needed, unexpected and a delight.
