One of my favorite hotels in all five trips I've done to Iceland. The staff are helpful and friendly and the place is very warm and cozy. The view of the lake from the room is perfect for viewing the northern lights right from your bed!!! The breakfast and dinner are excellent.

We got to the cabin shortly before midnight and were out on the road by 10 am next morning. Communication from the host was great! Easy key pickup, cabin was clean and VERY well stocked. Probably the best stocked I've seen throughout the trip. Some food items were for sale, and quite up-charge, but great convenience non less. We didn't need them that night, but there were nights earlier on our trip we would greatly benefit from it and gladly paid the premium price.

Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. If you want to self-reflect, chill out and self-discover in the middle of nowhere - this is the place. Very serene atmosphere, beautiful place.

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. We loved the cabin and its surroundings. It's secluded enough to feel isolated, yet a five-minute drive from the grocery store, gas station, etc. It was clean and all the appliances were in perfect working order. We cooked dinner and enjoyed the quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. amazing place and very nice staff! enjoyed the breakfast as well!
