We really enjoyed the spot, especially the silence. Everything was perfect, clean and the food (we even got vegan options) was really tasty and had a fair price. The owners were super nice and also had transportation service. It was really amazing staying there and I can highly recommend it.

The rustic yet elegant design perfectly complements the natural beauty of the desert. The pools (yes, plural!) are an oasis of relaxation, and floating in the cool water while surrounded by endless desert landscapes is an experience I’ll never forget. This is the perfect spot to disconnect from the chaos of everyday life. No distractions, just peace, tranquility, and the magic of the desert. The attention to detail, from the pristine cleanliness of the rooms to the thoughtful amenities, speaks volumes about the love and care Lucila and her family pour into this place. By far my favorite place I stayed during my 3 week trip. Truly a magical oasis in the desert. The staff was very helpful with everything we needed, tours, food, and even transportation back to the airport. The location was great, so quiet, yet close enough to town if you needed to go. The pool was nice and clean, the room was superclean, the air conditioning worked great too. The place is really unique, thoughtfully decorated with lights at night and really cool places and decor that the birds loved to land on, making for great bird watching as well. They always had coffee available too and tasty food from the restaurant. I would go back to this same hotel for sure.

This hotel was great value. Right on the edge of the desert to go to the red and grey desert as well as the night sky observatories. Breakfast was good, thank you to Katherine who stayed up late for us to arrive and helped us with some late night issues. Pool was nice to relax in, bed was comfortable and air conditioning was working and needed in the heat.

Offering an outdoor portable pool and views of the garden, Dunas Tatacoa is located in Villavieja. Neiva is 34 km away. Free private parking is available on site. The beds were so comfortable, we couldn't believe we were sleeping in a tent. The breakfast was delicious. The boy at the reception was very helpful and helped us organize a tuk-tuk driver for Tatacoa since we only had one they there. The common areas were relaxing and the location was close to the desert aswell as to the city centre. The night guard let us hang our washed clothes on the rack so they could dry.
