Staff is really friendly! Specially the people working in the restaurant, bar and the boy at the pool. They are always very willing to help and make your stay special. The place offers incredible views over the Mida creek. The swimming pool area is lovely, the garden is beautiful and well maintained. The food is great, there are plenty delicious options that were well prepared and presented. There is a boat transfer that is free to use between Lichthuis and the hotel, which is very convenient.

This hotel has been designed and built with great attention to detail with beautiful features , exquisite furnishings . It is in a secluded quiet spot with no external noise which makes your stay totally relaxing and calm . The food was delicious and beautifully presented . Cocktails first class!! Staff are attentive and very friendly . Fabulous pool and relaxation areas and wonderful garden . Beautiful view of the sea.

We stayed in a room for 2 people equipped with kettle for tea/coffee, AC, bed with insect nets, security box and a spacious bathroom with a big standing shower. The rooms feel rustic in many ways but are working for what are the basic needs. There is hot water, the lights work without a problem and the AC is modern and works without a problem. The bathroom has soap, shower gel, extra toilet paper and clean towels. Room gets cleaned every day and also insect repellent is applied after cleaning. One should be more careful if the apartment is located on the first floor that in the mornings, when it's cooler, there might be an encounter with monkeys that are passing by. They are not harmful. The food at the restaurants is very good. We had food at the inner restaurant, by the pool. Everything was tasty and well prepared. From pasta to seafood, all was delicious. The breakfast was always very good there as well. We also had food at the bar with the small pool, beach beds and direct access to the beach. There one can order small sandwiches and pizza. We found food to be delicious and filling if we had a bigger than usual breakfast. The pools were all cleaned and well maintained. Every pool has enough beds in the area, enough showers near the pool and the bathrooms near them are spotless. The beach in front of the resort is well kept. The number of people trying to promote their business is kept to a minimum and they are understanding of you give a clear signal that you are not interested. At the resort, one can also book trips around the area. We booked a trip to Marafa to see Hell's Kitchen. Everything went smoothly from pick-up, experience there and drop off. Our driver Nix did an excellent job. The bars are all well equipped and cocktails are generous. The staff is always helpful, kind and approachable. The beach towels can be returned every day or at the end of the day one can request new, fresh ones.

There was a variety of delicious food selection throughout the day and even though we stayed there for three nights,we never got bored of the food.

The personal touch from the owners 👌🏾. They made us feel at home and would go out of their way to help us experience the vibe and culture in Malindi. Imelda is really a special one. Very friendly and helpful. All the staff were so pleasant and really helpful. The food was also so delicious. I spent my birthday here and they made it super special for me. I would definitely recommend Lions' luxury Eco Resort and Spa to anyone visiting Malindi.
