it's an incredible experience. Well, first of all, I was alone not only in the room, but it seemed like in the whole monastery)). It was very warm, excellent linen. Friendly reception. Everyone speaks English perfectly and ready to help with any question. Unfortunately, the restaurant closed in winter, but I was able to enjoy the frescoes of the refectory during breakfast. I left my car in the free parking near the monastery and walked to Volterra. It took about 15 minutes.

The hotel's location is wonderful. It's on top of a hill, and to get there you have to go through an unpaved road on grassy hill where hundreds of sheep roam. The hotel itself is in an ancient farm which keeps you warm in winter and I guess it keeps you cool in summer. Our room, which had a flower name instead of a number, was huge and extremely comfortable. Excellent breakfast! Homemade cakes of all sorts. Lovely.

Dating back to the 11th century, Leon Bianco is in Piazza della Cisterna, one of San Gimignano’s main squares. During summer, breakfast is served on the quiet, relaxing terrace.

Best location! Center of the city. But quiet safety and clean place. Very convenient everywhere you want to go. Nice restaurant near here, so if you drink too much, don’t worry, enjoy nice food and wine.😋 Staffs are very friendly and gave me important and precise information for me as quickly as they could. We loved everything about this property. It is just like the pictures, beautiful and spacious with stunning outdoor areas. A quick 5-10 min drive to Certaldo where we caught 1hr trains to both Florence and Pisa. Also very close to San Gimignano and Volterra (which was our favourite). We stayed in the 3 level apartment (with hot tub on the top level), which we highly recommend! Our host, Andrea, met us at the property and was very kind and helpful!
