As soon as we drove up the driveway, it felt like coming home. Located beautifully on a hill with a gorgeous view of the Italian landscape, this country house was like a little piece of heaven - starting with an incredibly warm welcome by the host Mena and her adorable dog Gus as we arrived. Her homemade carrot cake and biscuits as well as the beautifully served breakfast were delicious (we could choose between sweet or savoury), and enjoying a glass of wine in the garden with the gorgeous view of the hills and sunset was truly a wonderful, memorable experience. The country house itself was also perfect as it was: peaceful, clean and decorated/furnished with great attention to detail - but the heart and soul of the place was definitely the beautiful Mena!

My stay at Excelsior was simply lovely. The staff at the hotel were friendly, accommodating and professional. The room was the perfect size, the bed was super comfy and the view was spectacular. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices and offerings.

My husband and I really enjoyed the time we spent in Granarola. It was the best retreat ever to celebrate our anniversary. Romantic and quiet, relaxing and outstandigly beautiful with the best view of my beloved hills and the Adriatic Sea. We had a blast and the amazing staff at Granarola made it possible. We will for sure come back next year!
