We booked this accommodation at short notice, we arrived in a thunderstorm with touring bikes. booking.com had screwed up where we were supposed to be staying and did the same thing here. Thankfully the host was absolutely brilliant. He opened up extra facilities for us that fully met our requirements. He let us store our bikes securely and he is a genuinely nice, humerous friendly person. In the morning he made sure that our bikes were readily available for us and wished us well for our onward journey. Things could have gone much worse, thanks to the poor systems of booking.com, thankfully there are nice, helpful people, like our host, who seem happy to help.

A true 5* experience ! A wonderful, welcoming place to stay. Our room showed endless attention to detail illustrating impeccable taste, from the samovar kettle to the beautiful light fitting in the bathroom. Breakfast was a highlight, served beautifully under the vine covered trellis. Local produce underlined Simonas ethical world view on sustainability. My husband and I stayed at CasalPiano for a long weekend to attend a friend’s wedding. Everything about it exceeded our expectations - communication from Serena in advance of our stay, accessibility, location, decor, cleanliness, coffee and breakfast… it was gorgeous. We felt very welcome. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, it was hard to get up! Wish we’d had longer there but would highly recommend to anyone looking for accommodation when visiting Orvieto.

Great property away from the Orvieto town but within few minutes drive. The place has everything - amazing garden, swimming pool, views, friendly cats and dogs. We've got a welcome cake made by the owners from their own produce and the night before leaving we've got another cake. It is such a lovely gesture! We had everything we need and even more - milk, coffee, tea, bread, cakes, etc were provided. Fully equipped kitchen, fridge, great bathroom. There is no air conditioner but we didn't need it despite very hot weather outside - the house protects well against the heat and opening windows allows night breeze in - perfect. I'd imagine you need to warm this place up during the winter, but there is a large heater. Can't stress enough - it's a great place to unwind for a few days or to use it as a base to travel around Umbria. Highly recommended!
