A demolished building at the entrance made us wonder if we were in the right place, but as soon as we were through the gates, we could see that we were somewhere exceptional. The building is elegant, the grounds superb, and the public spaces roomy with welcoming decor. It's more of a big B&B rather than a small hotel, but a very good one. I suspect that we had the smallest of the rooms, but we were comfortable enough for our 4 nights. Ter Wallen is an easy walk from the Markt square and the station, so it's a good spot for exploring this part of Belgium, and close enough to some of the historic battlefields for a day trip. Izigem itself is a nice small town, with plenty of spots to enjoy a beer or two. Ter Wallen's breakfast is on the expensive side; we only had breakfast on one morning but it was very good.

Away from the noise of the city but still close; 20 drive to center of Brugges. The apartment is big and clean, nice new furniture. Big and nice yard, you can play footbal in it. My kids enjoyed it very much and played a lot in the yard. Big and confortable bed in the main bedroom. Bunk beds in the second one. Everything was really , really nice. You can find a refrigirator with all kind of drinks on the hall and pay upon your leaving. Kitchen has everything you need.

We simply loved our stay here. To be honest, we would love to book another trip in this direction just to stay here again. Don’t think twice before booking—it won’t disappoint. The place is stunning and designed with meticulous attention to detail. The mattresses were perfect, and the rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you need.
