On-the-Rocks is part of our home which is one of the very few houses situated along the coastline in Fish Hoek, directly above Jager Walk, and has uninterrupted views of the bay. We have close-up views of whales (in season), dolphins, seals plus the various water activities., Parking (for one car) is in a garage with direct access on the same level as the accommodation - no steps. The unit is serviced weekly.
I grew up in Fish Hoek, lived in Durban and Johannesburg when I married, then moved back with my husband and children (who are now married and living overseas) when he retired, I am an active member of our local Neighbourhood Watch, I also belong to the early morning swimmers who swim year round - winter and summer, rain or shine. One of my interests is playing scrabble.
Fish Hoek is famous for its safe, family-oriented swimming beach. Restaurants, coffee shops and shops are within easy walking distance of On-the-Rocks. Access to the beach is via Jager Walk which also has a charming natural pool in the rocks. The local Clovelly Golf Club is a few minutes drive away and known as one of the best in South Africa. Other nearby attractions are: Cape Point; penguins at Boulders; gemstone factory and gift shop (Scratch Patch); Ostrich Farm; trips to Seal Island; kayaking and more,
