Myself Allan and my wife Yvonne are the host couple responsible for the welcome and care that one experiences at Chanteclair. Our extensive experience in hospitality and travel stands us in good stead to help you feel totally at home and welcome in Franschhoek. Our beautiful secluded property is ideally situated on a safe, quiet road close to town. We have magnificent views of mountains on one side of the property and vineyards, orchard and olive groves on the other side. The main house has four suites and one single room. Two freestanding cottages are also available for guests who would like a little more space, and each suite has a unique view of the garden and all guests are welcome to use the pool area and refreshing pool. Many of the rooms have open fireplaces and under floor heating making for a cosy atmosphere during cooler months. A scrumptious breakfast is served on the bright sunny patio under grapevines every mornings where your hosts are always on hand to assist with daily planning and the assurance of a memorable stay. To add to the uniqueness of the property, Chanteclair's most popular member of staff is Kass -our delightful rescue dog - who is always willing to accompany guests on walks around the dam or through the orchards and vineyard.

Franschhoek has acquired the well-earned title of the gourmet capital of South Africa. From the excellent wines accompanying both fine dining and casual streetside cafes, all can be experienced in this remarkable town. Restaurants offer a vast cornucopia of flavours and styles, and the variety will appease any traveller's appetite. Chanteclair is nestled on the edge of a beautiful, secluded wine estate with breathtaking views, beautiful trees and lush gardens. Even though guests can enjoy the walk from our property into town, we are sufficiently removed from the hectic hustle and bustle of the main thoroughfare, thus giving guests the best of both worlds.
