We are a small Fly Fishing venue with a few mountain bike trails, a birdwatcher & hiking paradise, situated in a forestry area 25kms from Sabie. The aboriginal word for home is "Gunya". The name of our guest lodge is Gunyatoo, embedded in our name is our philosophy and commitment to our guests - " our home is your home". Come and stay with us a while and it can be your Gunya-too!
The stone Lodge, built in 1899, has recently been refurbished with several suites, all with beautiful views of the surrounding pine forests. Rooms, all en-suite, have their own private patio, perfect for "feet up" early morning cuppa's.
For those requiring self-catering - we offer a vary of fully equipped Cottages - 2 to 10 Sleeper options.
For those wishing to experience a more "Rustic" option - we have 2 ECO friendly Cottages situated at the trout dams.- The Eco Stargazer 8 Sleeper & The Eco Love Shack a Romantic 2 Sleeper - both only have limited Solar power Lights only Gas fridge & stove . Additional electronics can be recharged at the Lodge.
Guests have access to the Pool Patio & dams & stream
The farm is a perfect venue for the enthusiastic fly fisherman. We offer two stocked dams with limited stream fishing for the more experienced fly fisherman. Private fly fishing lessons and group clinics can be arranged on site.
PLEASE NOTE: The NORMAL RATE does not apply to the exclusive use of GUNYATOO LODGE as a 10 Sleeper S/C Cottage.

We are a small Fly fishing/Birding and Cycling venue situated just off Long Tom Pass (R37) in a mountainous forestry area 25kms from Sabie. (We have 4kms of gravel road - I have a small Sedan - Suzuki Swift & todate - no problem)
We are situated on the Panorama Route with access to all sites for day trips - no problem.
The main Tourist Sites range from 20 minutes away - Misty Mountain's exhilarating, adrenalin rush, "Tobbogan" - to one and a half hours away the 3rd largest Canyon in the world - Blyde River Canyon! We are on "Google Maps" and distances can be checked.
All the Tourist attractions & activities/areas/towns are part of the Panorama route with so much to see and do!!!
