Diamantvallei has existed since the nineties as wedding venue and guest house. It was originally built by the Breebaarts who sold it in 2003 to the Stomans, the current owners. It was managed until 2019 by Hendrik en Alida Verwoerd, who retired and moved to the Karoo. Currently the venue is managed and marketed by the Kragdag team under leadership of HP and Lalie Steyn.
We are proud of the quality of service they deliver, with friendly and helpful hospitality towards our guests. The pesonal attention they offer everyone and the willingness to try and fulfill as much as possible the unique needs and requests of every guest, even endeavouring to anticipate it, results in Diamantvallei being able to offer a very special and flexible service to our clients (within reason).

The local area is rich in history, with rock forts from the Anglo-Boer war and signs of battles and a prisoner of war camp. Some rock formations look like they date from primitive times. Cullinan diamond mine and museum is about 30 – 40 minutes’ drive from Diamantvallei and the town itself has several old buildings from the 19th century with beautiful, quaint cafes and restaurants.
From the same era dates the Sammy Marks museum, situated on the old Pretoria-Bronkhorstspruit road – a Victorian villa that belonged to a Jewish businessman, who was friends with president Paul Kruger. The house is an example of a luxury dwelling of the time.
The central parts of Pretoria is only about 25 to 45km away from Diamantvallei – ideal for a visit to the Voortrekker monument, Pioneers Museum (the first, very humble house built in the region), Irene concentration camp and other museums and historical buildings in and around the city, as well as the Pretoria Zoo.
For shopping there are several malls within half an hour’s drive, like Menlyn, The Grove, Atterbury Value Mart, Brooklyn Mall and even the spreading Woodlands shopping centre. There are also numerous choices on the restaurant and night life scene.
