The guest suite is bright and inviting, with large windows and original hardwood floors throughout. You'll have a private keyless entry, parking in the driveway at your doorstep, a spacious living room with a dining area, a king bedroom, an extra luggage/dressing/yoga room, and a full bathroom with a shower/bathtub. We're a ten minute walk from the ocean, beach, large parks and the coastal trail system.
I am a volcanologist, and I got my start in Alaska over 20 years ago studying volcanoes and working as a wilderness park ranger with wild brown bears. Now I do environmental consulting, teach geology at the university part time, and study volcanoes when I can. My family loves to camp, fish, hike and enjoy the outdoors.
We live in one of Anchorage's oldest neighborhoods, just a few blocks from a huge ocean-side park, one of the rare sandy beaches in town, and our amazing coastal trail that runs all around the city. It is a wonderful place to walk or jog with gorgeous views of the ocean and the mountains. There is a great local restaurant just a five minute walk from our Guest House.
