We have been involved in tourism since 2010, because we like to meet new people. We love meeting our guests during breakfast and have a bit of chat with them. This is our way of making our guest feel at home in our guest house. We help our guests explore nearby sights by sharing our experiences of travelling adventures, especially with motorcyclists, because we are both motorcyclists as well. Nothing makes us happier than seeing our guests leave with a smile on their faces and returning back to our place with friends.

Our guest house is located right next to the railway and train station. Because of that, you can come to our guest house even without a car. You just put your bike on the train and you are already driving towards new adventures in your vicinity. Over 100 years ago, there was already a restaurant and a shop at this very location. When we bought this building it even had people gathering at a mini disco called “Submarine”. Then the building was renovated, renamed and redecorated to a guest house with four rooms and seven apartments.

Rakek is a great point for nature trips. You can cycle all over Notranjska and if you decide to visit us, you won’t miss your car at all. You can explore near and far surroundings by bicycle and indulge in beautiful countryside views of lakes, fields and explore beautiful forests of this region. To help you find your way around, we provide you with a map of cycling routes all over Notranjska. Of course, there are also a lot of walking and hiking options all around us, so if you’re an explorer at heart you can enjoy a safe and fun adventure that nature has to offer. We can recommend the most scenic walking paths like “Kunaverjava” path to Rakov Skocjan, a pretty forest road to Cerknica and then a manageable hike to Slivnica, or a short trip to beautiful Planina valley where you can explore different river streams and see the Planina Cave.
