We are in Plaza Mayor, the most tourist and historical area of Lima, so we are very appreciated by travelers, who find in our space, in addition to much comfort and equipment, great warmth of hospitality.
We are in the 6th level of Pizarro Building -a beautiful building classified by UNESCO- with amazing views of the Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace, just next to the Government Palace of Peru. The view from the living room and dining room, to the Church-Convent of Santo Domingo is of a serene beauty, very inspiring. This religious building is the oldest in Lima (1540) and was also the headquarters for nearly 100 years of the National University of San Marcos (1551), the oldest in the Americas. In the cloisters of this Convent lived and worked the Peruvian saint San Martin de Porres.
In short, we are in the heart of Lima and Peru, 5 minutes from palaces, museums, colonial and republican houses, bars, cafes and restaurants of great tradition and excellent flavor.
Amenities in bedrooms (fine linen), bathroom (jacuzzi for 2), dining room (beautiful furniture), large kitchen and bar with balcony; Make our apartment an authentic 5 star lodging. Guests are our best advertisers!!
We are a couple that agrees on things well done. We love cooking accompanied by music (Gregorian chants, tangos, folklore from America, and from different latitudes), which is why our apartment integrates the kitchen area with the main dining room and the bar area with diary dining room. So that cooking becomes a pleasent experience of communication and celebration, which is very typical of our culture.
We feel very grateful to life for having always met good people when traveling, so we consider a fair balance to be excellent hosts for our guests. We enjoy sharing with our guests information about special places to eat and drink, places that do not necessarily appear advertised but are excellent gastronomic offerings.
We have put much affection and technical effort to refurbish our apartment so that it is comfortable, very well equipped, and generate emotions of well-being to our guests. The occasions in which there are no reservations usually we occupy it with friends or in family for tourism and always we find new experiences in this splendid part of our city.
According to our experience and testimonies of our guests, there is no more generous neighborhood for tourism in Lima than the Historic Center. Some historical data:
. In 1991, UNESCO declared the Historic Center of Lima a World Heritage Site, for its originality and the concentration of 608 historical monuments built in the time of the Hispanic presence, especially within the space called the Damero de Pizarro.
. The Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro founded Lima as "City of the Kings" on January 18, 1535 in the area known in the Quechua language as Limaq.
. In 1651 the bronze pool was placed that still exists today in the center of the square.
. In 1821 it was proclaimed, in the Municipal Palace, 40 meters from us, the Independence of Peru.
Since we are neighbors of several palaces, especially the Government, located 30 meters from our building, security is a guarantee of calm, illustrative, relaxing and always exciting walking. In fact the change of the military guard that survey the Government Palace is a strong attraction, it takes place at 11:30 hours and is accompanied by musical interpretations of the war band.
