In 1997, French designer Gilles Saint-Gilles and his wife Camille arrived to Panama from Paris to visit friends, were immediately seduced by the region´s rich folkloric character and the gentle rolling hills. Drawing from a portfolio which includes Arab palaces, high-end apartments, designer fashion boutiques and renovations of medieval French castles, the couple stayed to create Azueros, an elegant oceanside community built in harmony with nature, blending exquisite design and Old World Craftsmanship. Villa Camilla is the first testament to this dream.
With the intention of continuing the dream and excellent work, French architect and his wife did, as the creators of AZUEROS, better known as Villa Camilla Boutique Hotel & Resort, OCEAN PROPERTIES by Villa Camilla is created.

Only 10 kilometers down a country lane through pastureland and tropical dry forest from the fishing village of Pedasi.
Despite increased investment in the village and area, the village has maintained its charming character while adding amenities such as restaurants and bakeries, car and scooter rentals, a dive and scuba shop, a small library, boating and fishing operators and an airstrip welcoming charter and twice a day commercial flights to Chitre from Panama City.
