Stay in the heart of the historic Three Cities at this beautifully, newly restored corner duplex apartment in Cospicua (Bormla). Flooded with natural light and overlooking the town’s main square and iconic parish church, this pre-WWII home blends authentic Maltese character with modern comfort.
Thoughtfully renovated while preserving traditional features such as Maltese stone, timber elements, and classic architecture, the apartment offers a warm and truly local atmosphere.
And with the Valletta ferry just a 5-minute walk away, you’ll enjoy unbeatable access to Malta’s capital while staying in one of the island’s most charming and peaceful neighbourhoods.
Three years ago, I set out to take on a personal challenge: restoring a traditional Maltese property and bringing it back to life. When I first walked into this home in Cospicua, it felt instantly right. Beyond being centrally located, safe, and close to Valletta, this neighbourhood also holds sentimental meaning for me — my parents spent their entire childhoods playing in these very streets. Restoring this pre-WWII building became a way to honour that history while creating a welcoming space for guests to enjoy the charm of the Three Cities.
Cospicua is one of Malta’s most atmospheric and authentic neighbourhoods, part of the historic Three Cities overlooking the Grand Harbour. It’s the perfect base for guests who want to experience real Maltese culture in a peaceful, safe and walkable setting — while staying close to everything.
Just 5 minutes from the Valletta ferry, Cospicua offers quick, scenic access to the capital without the noise and crowds. Guests love its narrow streets, traditional limestone buildings, local cafés, waterfront promenades, and its rich sense of history that you won’t find in modern tourist areas.
The neighbourhood is ideal for couples, solo travellers, and culture seekers looking for:
Authentic Maltese charm
Historic surroundings (fortifications, churches, heritage sites)
Quiet, safe streets
Beautiful harbour walks
Easy access to Birgu and Senglea — two of the island’s most picturesque towns
Direct connection to Valletta by ferry
Local restaurants and wine bars within minutes
Cospicua offers the perfect balance: a genuine local atmosphere with unbeatable convenience, making it one of Malta’s most desirable places to stay for travellers who want history, beauty, and comfort all in on
