ABOUT THE HOST: I love swimming, trekking, and travelling. Over decades, I have travelled on work and leisure and stayed in accommodation in several cities across 5 continents and I appreciate the real requirements of excellent guest service. It has become my passion and that of Krizia to ensure that our expectations of excellence at Savynomad Harbour Residences are delivered to our dear guests. OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE: Experience living in a typical traditional Maltese studio house in Valletta. Due to the way these were built hundreds of years ago, some ceilings can be a bit low. That's because of the handcrafted Maltese ceiling slabs and wooden beams which create that cosy feeling to it. Floor to Ceiling slabs: 2.2 metres. Floor to Wooden beams: 2 metres. Shower cubicle height: 190cm. As soon as you enter the residence at ground floor level there are around 5 steps up leading to the living space.  Also due to the porous nature of Maltese globigerina limestone , the honey-coloured stone walls tend to flake a little. Through the stay expect to see some tiny flakes here and there. It's part of the experience of living in an authentic Maltese townhouse in Valletta.

Property information

Coast has that lighthouse feeling to it with amazing views. Like many of our other Savynomad Harbour Residences sitting on top of the bastions in Malta's Grand Harbour, this elevated ground floor studio catches in its vista all boats, & ships that pass by. A 7 minute walk to City Gate and Valletta's historic & cultural centres, bars, restaurants and entertainments spots just round the corner. A historical home with traditional wooden beams, patterned floor tiles and modern amenities thrown in: Desk, USB charging, Ethernet wall sockets, etc Just a heads-up: a neighbouring property (not ours!) is being renovated from now until October 2025, Monday to Saturday. You might see some scaffolding but your amazing harbour views and entrance remain clear. Work happens only between 9am and 5:30pm, and the neighbour has agreed to keep noise to a minimum.

Neighbourhood information

This Savynomad Harbour Residence is set in a typical Maltese neighborhood. Lovely helpful people and the bustle of Valletta is only a stone's throw away. The street is a lovely typical Valletta pedestrian stepped street made from Maltese zonqor, so you get the best of both worlds. This 37m2 apartment is literally sitting on top of a Valletta bastion with breathtaking harbor views. Just round the corner you will find lovely bars and restaurants. There is unmetered street parking spaces within a few metres from the accomodation. The place has its own washer-dryer but there is also self-service laundry nearby. A lovely rocky beach is also available within walking distance. You don't need a car if you are staying here. You can easily walk to all of the many restaurants, bars, nightclubs, entertainment spots. All the Valletta cultural and historic centres are within 5 to 15 minute walking distance. The central bus station to reach any location in Malta is only a 5 minute walk away. Quiet but central. There is an additional charge imposed by local government (Eco tax). Adults only are to be charged at half a euro per person per night, capped at a maximum of five euro per person. Payment is be deposited in cash by guests at the property.
