Our Riad or more exactly Dar, which means house in Arabic, is a haven of peace that only the rumour of the surrounding life sometimes penetrates.
The living rooms, arranged on two levels, open around a large patio, a real skylight decorated with plants and a magnificent pool dedicated to well-being.
On the terrace there is a relaxing atmosphere. The sunbathing, the Moroccan benches sheltered under their protective veils, are a real invitation to a delicious laziness. Why not a night under the stars?
The first floor is dedicated to the rooms since there are five of the six rooms in our house. The sixth is on the ground floor and can accommodate people with reduced mobility. Without being a specific room, its modular layout and wide passages allow our disabled guests to fully enjoy the premises. The accesses from the car park to the interior of our house are equipped with inclined planes allowing a wheelchair to pass without great difficulty.

Let's start in the surroundings with the Place des Ferblantiers, renovated at the end of 2016. The square is airy, peaceful with some freshly planted palm trees. A circumferential pergola surrounds it and in the south-east corner an ancient eucalyptus tree is enthroned. Below him, he contemplates the tinsmiths who are busy in their regularly ordered shops all around the square. Here tinplate takes all shapes and unusual objects will delight you. All the more so as there will be no salesmen to tempt you at the slightest glance. And the prices are very reasonable. Finally, scattered between the shops, a few cafes allow a shady break while observing the gathering of storks on the city walls and the Badii Palace. On the other side at the northeast corner of the square stands an entrance to the Mellah. There, just on your left, slightly offset from the entrance is the jewellers' kyssaria. Two galleries, one of which has a patio, are home to about forty shops.
The oldest market of the Mellah is the big spice souk which occupies most of the covered market. ...And more...Come and join us at RIad Dar Alif.
