My name is Leonardo, but most people call me Leo. I have experience in Tourism and have mainly worked abroad as an animator & fitness instructor for companies such as Tui and In 2023 I decided to definitely change course and return to my roots (away from busy Belgium). From that moment on the adventure in Lucugnano began. The beautiful Salento region in Puglia has enchanted me since I was little: the narrow streets, the nice bars, the delicious restaurants, the beautiful clear azure water and beaches like in the Maldives, the charming coastal towns,... You must have been here to experience this and with the perfect climate all year round, simply fantastic! And then you have the Southern Italians, who will take any excuse to take a moment for a cup of coffee... Furthermore, Lucugnano is centrally located in the Salento region, so it is an ideal base for those who want to discover the rest of Salento and Puglia from the B&B. We show you the places that no one else knows or that tourists will never see. I can no longer imagine life outside Salento: during the week I drink a glass of wine with my friends on one of the many terraces and at the weekend we sit on the beach until the sun sets in the sea. Life here is so stress-free and feels so easy, the perfect components for a wonderful holiday! Slow food and slow living is key!

Salento, my roots and the region in Puglia where I live is without a doubt the most beautiful and unspoilt region of Italy. Everything is there: sun, sea, beach, entertainment, good food, numerous sights with beautiful architecture and the most hospitable people ever. Our B&B is centrally located where we offer numerous excursions nearby and around. Just think of Gallipoli, Otranto, Santa Maria Di Leuca, Lecce, Brindisi or a nice stroll along the coast, we have it all. Ever since I was little, I was in love with Salento. Relatively close from where i was living in Belgium, but you feel like you are on another part of the world: the red earth, the azure blue sea, also known as the Maldives coast as mentioned earlier, and clear blue sky, the rolling landscape full of olive trees and white trulli. A holiday in Puglia is possible almost all year round, because spring comes early: at the end of April it is often around 20 degrees. Summers are long and pleasant, with temperatures of around 30 degrees until the end of September. The sea is just fifteen minutes by car - warms up to 25 degrees, so taking a dip is always a pleasure. Salento is rich in small family businesses that have been passionately perfecting their craft for generations: winegrowers, olive oil producers and artisans who work ceramics and glass. But also the sweet nonnas who you see in the village alleys making orecchiette (ear pasta) by hand. I would like to share with you the tips for the best addresses with our numerous excursions!
