Ready for an authentic rural Tuscan lifestyle experience?..The deers graze the fields near the house, you can hear wild boars grunting and the crickets singing...Healthy food, good wine, friendly chatter .. is there anything better than this?..
The farm is nestled in the hills between Chianti and Valdarno Superiore in the middle of the beautiful Tuscan countryside, just half an hour from Florence. The apartment is in the original 18th century stone farmhouse renewed in 2012 using green building materials. At the farm we use renewable energy only. We are under the standards of Eco- Tourism and all our food products are certified organic. Guests have free access to our organic veg garden (consider that veg production is mostly in fall-summer). You can enjoy a heated wooden whirlpool tub in the midlle of the oliveyard (in summer is free of charge ). You can enjoy a cooking class or just relax in the private veranda with wifi, view, lounge chairs and an equipped area for barbecue. There are many options for a nice walk looking for animal, wild herbs and fruit.
I live in the house in front of the apartment where you will be staying . I have been running the farm since 2009. I am very busy at the farm because I take care of the organic veg garden and the oliveyard while my husband deals with maintenance and wood cut. Anyway we shall be happy to help you with tips on the area or to support you in any case of need . As an active member of Slow Food movement, I keep myself updated with everything related to gastronomy. I’m passionate about healthy farm to table food and I will be happy to give you a cooking class on how to make fresh pasta from scratch.
We are in the middle of the beautiful Tuscan country you can walk in chestnut woods, oliveyards and vineyards, visit old churches and Medieval villages or go shopping to the most famous top brand outlet of the world: The Mall, just few km from us. Incisa is the nearest small town. It is 7 km from the farm. There you can find stores and restaurants. Florence, is just 27 Km from us, Arezzo, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano are close as well and all reachable in a day trip. But if you are tired of hot cities full of tourists, we can suggest some itineraries out of the beaten path where you can discover beautiful small hamlets. In the apartment you will find a book with itineraries from the farm described with details including tips on what to see and where to eat like a local.
Walkers can discover many trekking paths on the surrounding hills and they’ll be surprised of the wild animals they may meet walking at night or early in the morning …
of course you can just relax in a hammock under the fig tree!
