In the Ladin language of the Comelico area, “a ceda toa” means “at your home”, and this is exactly the feeling we want to offer our guests. Our rooms are a cosy nest in the Dolomites: warm spaces, carefully furnished and naturally scented with wood, creating an immediate sense of well-being.
The house has been renovated with great care and respect for local tradition: the first renovation was completed in 2018, and the most recent one in 2022, further improving comfort and quality. Since July 2018, we have opened the doors of our home as a family-run B&B, welcoming guests in a peaceful and authentic atmosphere.
Our location is also ideal for those wishing to reach the venues of the Milan–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics: Cortina d’Ampezzo is about 50–60 minutes away by car. It is the perfect base for experiencing the Olympic spirit while staying in a quieter, more natural setting in the heart of the Val Comelico.
I’m Raffaella, and hosting guests is much more than a job for me – it’s a way of sharing my world, my home, and the stories of the Val Comelico. After years of studying cultural tourism, working in territorial development, and running my B&B, I’ve learned that what I love most is making people feel genuinely welcome, as if they were friends visiting from afar.
I enjoy creating a warm and gentle atmosphere made of small attentions: a sincere recommendation about where to go, a conversation about local traditions, or a tip to discover a hidden corner of our valley. I love telling stories, legends, and everyday life in the mountains, helping guests experience something authentic – not just a holiday.
I’m passionate about nature, mountain walks, local culture, and all the things that make this valley unique. In my free time, I read, work on cultural projects, and support initiatives that enhance and protect our mountain heritage.
At my B&B, you will find kindness, tranquillity, and genuine hospitality: my wish is that you may truly feel “at your own home”, just as the Ladin name A Ceda Toa suggests.
The B&B is located in Borgata Mare, in a convenient position along the road connecting Santo Stefano di Cadore to Sappada. From here, you can easily reach the beautiful trails of Val Visdende, the panoramic routes of Val Comelico, and several nearby ski areas.
Although no Olympic events will take place in the Comelico area, we are well connected to Cortina d’Ampezzo, the main host of the Milan–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, which is about 50–60 minutes away by car. It’s an ideal choice for guests wishing to attend the events while enjoying a quieter and more authentic mountain environment.
Just in front of the B&B flows the Piave River, perfect for relaxing walks, and guests can also enjoy our large garden. In the village you will find a supermarket, a pharmacy and two cafés.
The nearest restaurant is located in Santo Stefano di Cadore, while the nearest pizzeria is about 2 km away.
