Overlooking the San Vio Canal, this 17th century Venetian town house lies in the Dorsoduro district. It offers elegant rooms and a peaceful location, 15 minutes' walk from St. Mark's Square. Set in an artistic neighbourhood, Hotel American-Dinesen is 250 metres from both the Academy of Fine Arts and the Peggy Guggenheim collection. All rooms provide flat-screen satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms offer a balcony with canal views, others have modern furnishings. Breakfast at the American is a varied buffet, and includes fresh pastries, cereals and fruit. In the summer, guests can enjoy a cocktail or traditional spritz on the terrace. Accademia Vaporetto Stop is 250 metres away, and boats to Giudecca Island leave from the nearby Zattere pier.
