Completed renovations and newly decorated as of summer 2020. Stay in converted stables, in an old world setting, at Moyglare House, built in 1760, which we have been restoring over the last nine years. Near Maynooth, a bustling university town with great restaurants and close to Dublin, there is lots to see and do. Or relax and enjoy the peaceful surrounding of nature at Moyglare Manor.

I live in a country house with a collection of art & furniture from the Irish Georgian periods and love traveling to explore what other cultures have to offer. I am a furniture historian specialising in early nineteenth century Irish cabinetmakers. During the summer, I'm on the road nearly every weekend travelling all over Ireland, UK and Europe with our horses as my daughters compete in eventing competitions regularly. We are happy to help with recommendations of places to visit. We live just across from the old stables.

Kildare is famous for its horse industry, great racecourses to attend. Great golf also, we are close to Carton House, which also has an adventure park and spa. The area we live in is close to the canal system and is super for cycling or walking. There are many historical sites to visit ranging from Castletown House to Newgrange. We are only 20 minutes from Tattersalls (fairyhouse racecourse). We live at the end of a long avenue! However there is a very good train service from Maynooth to Dublin and local taxi's, which means eating in the many excellent local restaurants is a must. We are just half an hour by car from Dublin Airport.
