We rent for a minimum of 3 nights and we live in the adjoining flat at the end of the house. The house was restored in the late 1990's. It is an old farm house built in the 1600's and lived in until the mid 1900's. It was restored using oak beams. It also has very modern features and both styles blend together well. It has a large open plan downstairs, comprising living, dining and kitchen areas. It has a large Austrian stove which heats the area well.
Interests: theatre, music, cooking, reading, gardening. Traveling. Especially European cities. We offer Mount Coggill as a self-catering house to rent. We live in the flat at the end of the house and so are available for any queries about the house or information on what is of interest in the locality - restaurants, crafts, artists, music, places of historical interest, walks, riding, river activities. We rent for a minimum of 3 nights.
Beautiful scenery, lots of places of historical interest, top quality craft work, excellent restaurants, artisan food, local markets, friendly pubs. River Barrow just 5 minutes drive so lovely river walks and river activities - canoeing, paddle boarding, river tours. Picturesque Inistioge on the River Nore just 20 minutes drive. Kilkenny City 25 minutes drive. Daily bus to and from Kilkenny. Best to have a car
