“Very quiet, remote setting with no expense spared on decorating. Very comfortable for group meetings. Quirky hidden doors, and a beautiful piano room were a nice and novel surprise. The kitchen was fully outfitted and stocked with top end...”

Glenastar Lodge is a former hunting lodge built in circa 1790 by the Yeilding family who owned cotton factories in England and India. Over the years, the house has undergone many manifestations and several phases of construction but retains the form fabric of its original main block. The hunting lodge retains many of its original features and is a classic home and an outstanding heritage property.
Today the house stands a newly developed designer home with contemporary furniture , appliances ,all mod cons, quirky features from the past and a guest home cinema. Top of the range electrical appliances from Smeg and Fisher and Paykel . The house boasts a balcony at the front and the rear . An outdoor kitchen is underway and due to be commissioned in late summer.
I am from the locality. I am available for any questions or help you may require while visiting Glenastar Lodge.
Glenastar Lodge in Irish translates to Gleann Eas Daire which means glen of the waterfall. It is located 1 mile from the local shop and filling station. The large county town of Newcastle West is located 3 miles to the east while the picturesque village of Adare is only 15 . Shannon and Kerry airports can both be reached in under an 45 minute drive.
