Located on the banks of the beautiful Bohorok River, our hotel/guesthouse offers a tranquil and welcoming atmosphere to explore Bukit Lawang and Gunung Leuser National Park. Our family business has been operating since 1986. After the flood in 2003, we rebuilt and expanded the property. All rooms are clean and spacious with lovely garden and river views. Our restaurant, which juts slightly over the river, is a wonderful place to taste our Indonesian specialties and enjoy the sound of the water. We take pride in always treating our guests like family. You are always welcome here! Whether you come here to trek in the jungle and watch Orangutans, visit the bat cave, relax on the riverbank or explore the village, our guest house is perfectly located and a great place to enjoy your time in Bukit Lawang. We are happy to help you with all your activities!
Wisma Leuser Sibayak is part of our family tradition. All of us (our family and absolutely lovely staff) are from Bukit Lawang and love this place. Here we grew up respecting the jungle and its inhabitants, and love to swim in the river, make music and cook great Indonesian food (or Western if you wish). With love of detail we take care of our accommodation. There will always be someone in the restaurant to help you if you need anything. Don't hesitate to ask any questions, we're here to help! Also, you can book any kind of activity here, like jungle trekking, village exploration tours and much more. Our staff and friends are some of the best guides available in Bukit Lawang. We are always happy to welcome and get to know our guests, who come from all over the world, and we really hope that they will feel part of our family.
Wisma Leuser Sibayak is located directly at the riverbank. The crystal-clear water of Bohorok River invites you to a refreshing bath directly in front of our guesthouse. Enjoy a fun swim together with local kids and relax at the riverside. The center of Bukit Lawang with its many lovely shops of cutlery, clothes and Indonesian specialties lies within 10 minutes walking distance. If you want to visit the traditional Friday market, you can take a becak (motorbike taxi) directly in front of our guesthouse to get there. Wisma Leuser Sibayak is perfectly located for visiting the bat cave which is just a 30 minutes walk away from here. Also, the jungle treks start directly here as the entrance to Gunung Leuser National Park is located uphill behind our guesthouse. Monkeys from the National Park are our frequently visitors!
