My name is Athena and I have been working in the hospitality industry since 2002. I will be happy to assist you and provide you with all information about a pleasant stay on the island of Milos. Our meeting point will be ATHENA TRAVEL SERVICES, 500meters from the port of Adamas. I will be there to meet you and explain you how you get to the property. I am daily at my office in Adamas, Milos. Through my office you may also rent a car. Do not hesitate asking us for a deal!

Property info

Machi's House is a historic stone-made house in the center of scenic Plaka. In 1820, during the Ottoman domination, the statue of Venus of Milos was hidden in this property, specifically in the room we call Venus today! The home's style resembles the Doric order in simplicity, distinctively traditional with a modern touch. All rooms and apartments have high ceilings with exposed wooden beams and beautiful air flow. Some come with part of the mountain rock untouched used in place of a wall, all either come with patios viewing the beautiful garden or a balcony with a village or distant seaview. There is private parking and free WiFi. Please note, at the complex there is no reception and on the island there are no street names. We strongly recommend that we arrange your transfer from the port/airport at your arrival, for your own convenience. Otherwise, we do not assume any responsibility for any discomfort that you may experience until you reach the accommodation.

Neighborhood info

Plaka is the majestic capital of Milos with picturesque walkways, breathtaking views from Panagia Korfiatissa church and also from the ruins of the castle, museums, restaurants, bars, cafes, boutique shops. Plathiena and Firopotamos are the nearest beaches. Klima with traditional boathouses with colorful doors, the Catacombs and Ancient Theater are all near. Famous Sarakiniko beach and port of Adamas both are just a 10-minute drive away and only steps away from the property there is a bus stop.
