If you want to come from Tbilsi to Kazbegi the best is to go to the metrostation Dibude and take a marschrutka to Kazbegi (cost 15 GEL). The white marschrutka with a sign which says Kazbegi can bring you directly to our guesthouse. The drivers name is Jamal. This marschrutka always leaves at 10 am at Dibude. If you come later the other marschrutkas leave hourly from Dibude. When you arrive in Kazbegi go the main road straight ahead until the historical museum with the church. Afterwards go right up the hill until the end and then take a left. Keep on following the street. When the street doubles take the left street and go until the end and there is our nice guest house ,,MARI" Qushashvili Stay with us and enjoy comfortable rooms, home-cooked meals (upon request) and a beautiful view of Trinity Church and Mt. Kazbeg from our peaceful garden.

Guest reviews _“Very welcoming staff. They welcomed us very warmly, even gave us some rock crystals as a souvenir :-) Delicious food. You can feel the traditions of Georgian families. More interesting and better than in a restaurant. Beautiful room! Everything is in the style of this place. The bathroom is very beautifully decorated, it feels like you are in a cave. The view from the window is enchanting! You can go even for the view alone :-) We came in the fall, the room was very warm.”

Georgian Military Road
One of the most picturesque routes in the post-Soviet space goes from Tbilisi to the foot of Mount Kazbek. In addition to stunning mountain scenery, along the way you will see a medieval fortress and a temple on the shore of the reservoir in Ananuri, a dramatic gorge near Gudauri and the Cross Pass. If time allows, it is worth going even higher from Stepantsminda (Kazbegi), to the Gergeti Church, from where in good weather there are beautiful views of Kazbek.
Having rented a car, it is better to allocate at least two full days to explore the capital; in one day you can visit...
