Violet May's Retreat is the perfect place to relax and unwind in a secluded setting with stunning and extensive views of the beautiful Exe estuary. It is situated within a short walking distance of two village pubs at Cockwood harbour, both of which are very popular with excellent food ratings. There is easy access to coastal and estuary walks and cycle routes, including the South West Coastal Path.
Tricia’s place is located in Devon, England, United Kingdom.
Cockwood has 215 voting residents and is a quiet and picturesque village with two local pubs and a church. Certain times of the day from the retreat you will see deer, pheasants, badgers and an assortment of wild birds including woodpeckers and jays.
Also make sure you bring your camera with you as the evening sunsets are particularly stunning.
Getting around.
There is a railway station at nearby Starcross.
The local Exeter/Newton Abbot bus service stops 5 minutes walk away.
Walking distance to Dawlish Warren Beach and Nature reserve.
Dawlish town is a 10 minute drive away.
