Property information
Having recently undergone a full internal refurbishment Otter is without doubt one of the outstanding 4 star, 2 bedroom chalets available on the Portnellan Estate.
Relax within an open plan living space and a comfy L shaped sofa and arm chair. A walnut effect wooden flooring leads to a galley kitchen with recently refurbished units. All walls throughout are decorated in Farrow and Ball colours with all new soft furnishings throughout. A bathroom with shower over, heated towel rail. Two bedrooms, one king-size double and one twin.
From the open plan living, dining and kitchen area a sliding patio door opens onto your private balcony with garden furniture. With an unrestricted view to the summit of Ben More and the cascading Ben More burn less than 30 metres from the private balcony, Otter is one of our most secluded chalets. It is often commented by guests that Otter is a very peaceful and relaxing property. It is not uncommon to see nobody apart from me occasionally walking up to check upon the private water supply on Ben More burn that supplies Portnellan. Otter’s situation is also known for the abundance of bird life and animals including red squirrel, deer and Pinemarten. Pets are welcomed for an extra charge of 30GBP per stay.
The Portnellan Estate has been privately owned by the same family for nearly 40 years and offers fantastic facilities including fresh run wild salmon and trout fishing on the estate lochs and river, plenty of trails on and off road for all abilities, a games room with table tennis, table football, pool table and a small gym. Kayaks and rowing boats are free to use on the river and loch. There is even an onsite visitor centre with a small essentials shop, fresh organic meat from a farm locally for sale (perfect for a BBQ or home cooking), local information, a varied selection of board games and DVDs. Situated in the heart of the central Highlands of Scotland with spectacular loch, glen and mountain views all around Otter's setting is ma
