With its own Mediterranean restaurant and just a minute’s walk from South Kensington Underground Station, The Ampersand is a cosmopolitan hotel set in a large Victorian building. The hotel also has a gym and games room.
The pillared foyer has a grand staircase lit by an elegant cascading chandelier. The downstairs bar area gives a sophisticated urban feel with its exposed brick arches, and a Science Afternoon Tea menu is available in the hotel’s drawing rooms.
Bedrooms at The Ampersand are individually decorated with bold contemporary wallpaper designs and original Victorian features. Each room has a minibar, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and an en suite bathroom.
As well as the hotel’s well-equipped gym, guests will have access to information regarding horse riding, private trainers and running routes.
Within 2 minutes’ walk of the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum, Harrods and Hyde Park are just 15 minutes away by foot.
