Property information

If you are looking for a relaxing break in stunning surroundings, Pentre Cerrig Country House (PCCH) will tick all the boxes. Perched, on the south west facing side of the Leete valley, with views across to the Clwydian hills and Offas dyke, it is a magnet for wild life including woodpeckers, gold finch, owls, song birds, herons and badgers. Ancient records say it dates back to 1596, and could have been occupied when Queen Elizabeth 1st was making her royal progress. There is a large garden with scented blossoms and shady nooks to sit and dream.. Also an organic vegetable garden where the hosts grow vegetables and fruit for the table. A small flock of hens provide fresh eggs for the kitchen. The main house had 4 well appointed bedrooms, all en-suite and with views of the garden and/or the valley. The guests have a breakfast room and comfortable lounge with a Tv , games, and a varied selection of books.

Neighbourhood information

Pentre Cerrig is ideally suited for sightseeing, walking and cycling - or just relaxing . There are 3 friendly pubs that serve meals within 1.5 miles from the house. We are just 4 miles from the market town of Mold with the Theatre Clywd; 30 minutes from the Roman city of Chester; an hour from Liverpool, Manchester, Llandudno and very central for touring the North Wales towns, valleys, Snowdonia etc. We do have more details and information about local points of interest, restaurants, local walks and drives on our website so please feel free to take a look but let us know if you need any more help at all.
