The Hobbit Hut is located at the bottom of our 4 Acre field in Altham. We have a wood burning Hot tub (no bubbles as it is not a jacuzzi )
we can light for you at a fee of thirty pounds or you can bring your own wood and light it yourself - a great experience!!!
The Hobbit Hut also has a compost toilet and a decking area where you can sit out and enjoy nature.
we have chickens, ducks and Goats on site which you are welcome to look at :)
Upon arrival you will find a key in the door. If you have asked for the hot tub lighting service you will be able to enjoy the hot tub pretty much straight away, if not it takes around 1.5 hours to get to heat but it is fun doing this and you must stay on site to ensure you get it to the right heat which is around 38 degrees.
If you would like the hot tub lighting service it is charged at thirty pounds. Please note it is not a jacuzzi but a wood burning hot tub and does not have bubbles as this disturbs the bats and nature :)
If you would like us to supply the wood we offer a trolley load of wood blocks for 45 pounds and includes firelighters and kindling
Late checkout is twenty five pounds
Early checkin is twenty five pounds
Simply enquire and bring money on arrival if possible
Family run business, we have children and chickens, ducks and goats on site so be careful when driving in :)
Altham is a quiet village, we are located just off the Huncoat Canal bridge and there is only one other neighbour. We are surrounded by fields and the Leeds Liverpool canal is less than 60 metres away and is perfect for walks.
The Walton Arms is the nearest pub so if you are looking for good pub grub then you can either drive or take a stroll down Altham Lane (be careful of the traffic as there is no pavement and a torch is essential if walking at night)
