I've been living in the Caribbean for 20+ years. Air BnB is my preferred way to travel. I love avoiding touristy areas and staying in more off-the-beaten path places while gaining inside travel tips from hosts. I am an avid water-sports enthusiast: sea kayaking, open water swimming, freediving (Apnea), body-surfing, and I can follow orders on a sailboat from a captain. I own a guesthouse in Dominica and am semi-retired.

The neighborhood is situated on a hill above the fishing village of Soufriere. Most of the houses have been built within the last three decades. It is a very typical Dominican neighborhood. Soufriere is a very welcoming village and the community has embraced the concept of community-based tourism.
