Wingtons Glamping offers a unique and exclusive holiday experience in the heart of the Tamar Valley. Beautifully appointed large canvas Safari tents only metres away from the shores of the Tamar river, give you the opportunity to escape everyday life and get close to nature.
Each tent has been fitted out with European wood fires to keep you cosy and warm at night, queen size beds dressed with fine cotton linen, antique steamer trunks and Persian style carpets to create an atmosphere that could only be described as absolute luxury. We also include some of life's modern conveniences such as an ice box to keep your wine cool, electric lighting, Bose Bluetooth speakers to create the mood and the ability to charge your mobile phone.
The sites come with your own private deck; a Weber Baby Q BBQ and teak dining suite will make cooking your fresh Tasmanian produce a treat.
After 9 years of living in Melbourne Nathaniel Wicks decided to fulfil a lifelong dream for a simpler life and moved to Tasmania in November 2015 with the grand plan to launch Wingtons Glamping.
The old Westwynd Cottage location and its grounds had all the character, the river views, and the natural bushland to make a perfect site for the project. Since the move they have restored the old house to its former glory, begun revegetating the natural landscape by planting over a hundred native trees and built a magnificent macrocarpa deck by milling old fallen logs.
They continue to grow their relationships with local businesses, farms and wineries to give you the ultimate Tasmanian experience.
