If you're looking for something that's definitely not ordinary, lavish accommodation made from eco-friendly materials overlooking one of Australia's top 100 beaches, then you're where you should be. Perlubie Landing is simply spectacular, a hidden gem & one that needs to be shared. Perlubie Sea is part of a complete lifestyle change for the owners, who wanted to return to a more simple way of living and share that experience with others. Both Villa's Black & White provide you with the opportunity to escape from the daily grind, chill and just enjoy the simple but stunning things in life.
The owners set themselves a challenge….was it possible to provide luxury accommodation, that tried to meet sustainability principles without spending a fortune. Perlubie Sea is not perfect but has gone a long way to meeting that challenge and they continue to look for opportunities to reduce their footprint, recycle, upcycle, purchase organic, natural & as local as possible. All building materials were assessed against their environmental qualities, distance to access, materials made of & budget. Trudy has re-upholstered most of the furniture. South Australian wines & beers have been sourced, all food produce is locally grown, caught or purchased from local suppliers and skin care products are sourced from South Australia & Victoria. Bamboo sheets & towels are absolutely luxurious and good for the environment. Perlubie Sea is a work in progress, not environmentally perfect yet, but is trying very hard to do the right thing without sacrificing quality & a touch of glam.
The whole ethos of Perlubie Sea is to stop and enjoy the moment & there is no better place to do that.
Perlubie beach is one of the most stunning beaches in Australia...we may be biased!!!! Walking, swimming, canoeing, kite surfing & fishing are the most popular activities, whilst surfing is just around the corner at St Mary's, the Granites or Sceale Bay. The gorgeous fishing town of Streaky Bay is less than a 15 minute drive & we are happy to arrange for you to visit for shopping or meals at the trendy Bay Function café or the terrific Streaky Bay Hotel. The area is home to many oyster farms (Streaky Bay, Perlubie, Haslam & Smoky Bay) visiting a farms with the chance to "shuck and suck" oysters while you're there! . Driving around the local area reveals the stunning coastline & wildlife, with Baird Bay less than an hour's drive east from Perlubie Landing offering the thrill of swimming with the sea lions and dolphins. The exhilarating experience of a close up encounter with the Southern Right Whales at Fowlers Bay is 2-3 hours' drive west of Perubie. The whales use this area to birth their young from July to October each year.
