Finkenberg is located on the sunny plateau at the back of the Zillertal, right at the entrance to the Tuxental. This village was made famous by, among others, famous natives Leonhard Stock and Prof. Peter Habeler. Finkenberg is a popular tourist destination because it offers entertainment 365 days a year. Visitors will certainly be pleased with the free bus lines not only to the slopes, but throughout the Tuxertal.
The Zillertal 3000 ski area includes the interconnected ski areas Eggalm, Rastkogel, Penken – Fingenberg, Penken – Mayrhofen, Ahorn and Austria's most popular Hintertux glacier. Long kilometers of cross-country trails, 3 lighted toboggan and bobsleigh tracks, and 250 km of marked winter hiking trails are inherent to the area's sports offer.
