Clean rooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast (including local authentic breakfast and Vietnamese coffee). Many cafes around, street food and cheap good laundry. I bought Mekong Delta tour at this hostel, it was well organized, we were eating all day. I also bought cooking class in the evening, food was fresh and good, we made 3 Vietnamese dishes. Good way to meet other travelers and connect. Highly recommend, especially for solo travelers (female also). P. S. It has air conditioner in rooms!

Quiet, very clean, and only a ten minute walk away from the main backpacker street. The staff is friendly and have good tips. If you want to be close to all the action but still get a good night's sleep, this is a great option.

I absolutely loved this hostel. You can tell that the facilities are new because everything is spotless and in perfect condition. The breakfast is delicious with so many fresh options that are all prepared on the spot. Plus they offer amazing tours that I highly recommend joining. The beds are super comfortable and everything is very clean. The location is also great because it’s central so you’re close to all the tourist spots while still getting a more local experience of the city. It’s perfect for those looking to relax because there’s no noise at all. But the best part without a doubt was the staff. They were always kind and helpful and available 24 hours a day. They answered all my questions gave me great recommendations and made me feel welcome and comfortable throughout my stay. I hope I can come back to Ho Chi Minh someday and stay at this hostel again. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I stayed at The Common Room for 2 weeks and I could have easily stayed for longer. Everything was so carefully thought out, from the comfy beds (hotel-level sheets and pillows) to the regularly cleaned bathrooms and common spaces. I also joined in on the regular "family dinners" which was a great way to meet and connect with fellow travellers — shout out to Myrah for the amazing restaurant-quality vegan food! The female dorm was spacious enough for all our bags, with individual lockers and even a cute dressing table to get ready at in the morning. The beds were honestly so amazing — clean, comfy, and made by the staff every morning so it's fresh when you get back. My favorite part of the whole stay were the staff members, who were able to create a cozy and chilled environment throughout the entire space. It's social but without the messy party vibes, welcoming without being overly pushy, and felt like a home away from home, especially after coming back from the busy city. The Common Room is a significant step up from any regular hostel I've stayed in and it's a place I would recommend to other travellers who want the best of both a hotel and hostel environment. :)

I decided to stay for the night for my 6am flight the following day. The place is lovely in a residential street, you feel safe being with the family who runs this small hostel. They care that you make it to the airport on time. From my experience, it took me at least 15 mins to walk to the domestic airport. You should try to familiarise the route to the airport before your actual flight. Note that the international airport is a bit further, not sure how walkable that is. The area has lots of eateries esp on the route to the domestic airport, prices are cheaper compared to District 1. There are also many mini markets for drinks & snacks etc.

The location is excellent. It is near Bui Vien, but the noise from the area can't be heard in our bedroom. Lots of restaurants around. The owner and her family are really kind. They assisted us in booking next-day tours and were able to extend our stay with them with no problem.

Staff were really hospitable even paid for a meal I had with them, everything was clean, good quiet location but still walking distance to major tourist areas. Allowed me to park my scooter inside of a night for safekeeping also.
