It's one of the best hostels that I have ever been! The environment is amazing, the moment I entered I felt super cozy not only because the structure of the rooms and common areas but also the stuff but also the rest of ppl in this hostel were so friendly and nice. I thought I was gonna spend Christmas alone but meeting those people, I felt like home! Like I know since ever.. The island has plenty of beauty, so you definitely need a cozy and nice place to stay. So I definitely recommend it!

Partenope is in the center of Angra, near the botanical garden. The parking space is very close and it's cheap. Taxi od near as the bus stop. Restaurants and cafes are near as well as shops. It's a quiet establishment and honestly I can't in the evening and went around in the morning, My bunk bed was spacious and pleasant. Breakfast is basic; bread, cheese and ham, yogurt, juice, coffee, honey, Nutella, some sweets and fruits as well. Enough to start the day. The kitchen is spacious and has everything for a quick snack. It was pleasant to chat with the owner of the establishment as well. If you're looking for a place to end the day and start fresh, this is the place.

Located in Ponta Delgada and within 13 km of Pico do Carvao, Matriz 55, Hostel & Suites features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. They could not be a better location for a hostel like this. Also, I was very surprised how nice the property is inside. The owners do care and want to meet you personally which is nice.

Loving Strangers Hostel features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Madalena. The accommodation provides karaoke and a shared kitchen. So much more than a hostel: a real family homestay experience, with a hug! Stefano and Pedro are wonderful hosts, I feel sheepish about not spending enough time in the garden relaxing and conversing - was too busy running around the island! The hostel is on a quiet street in the centre of Madalena, with stunning views over the Pico mountain. Rooms are spacious, each bed is curtained off for privacy, equipped with a power socket, a lamp and a fan, nice firm mattress. All communal areas are clean, and the garden is just awesome! You get a choice of cats to cuddle, and a dog :) The shared kitchen has everything you need for cooking or storing food items. Also, if you have an early start - like, climbing the mountain,- you can have tea, cereal, yoghurt and jam on toast - before the official breakfast time, just tidy up after yourself - but you'll miss the pancakes..... Definitely a hostel-home experience that I recommend and that is firmly on my re-visit bucket list!

Angra Heritage - City Center Hostel provides rooms in Angra do Heroísmo near Zona Balnear da Prainha Beach and Silveira Beach. Super clean. Great location. Friendly host. We had the whole accommodation to ourselves. Cosy room with balcony. Good pillows and mattress 10/10
