Dale (David maybe I'm not sure) checked me in, gave me places to visit while I was there and was helpful in just being friendly face to see that day. Rock climbing wall discount is helpful but advise going with a second person for comfort. Can't speak highly enough about the hostel it was perfect.

There was such a great atmosphere from the personal but also from the people they were there. The balcony was great just to chill and you could reach the beach in 15min with bus.

The cosy hostel is conveniently located near the awe-inspiring Kuirau Park, featuring captivating geothermal wonders. Guests can explore tranquil forest trails, experience heart-pumping bike rides, relax in natural hot springs, and immerse themselves in Maori culture. Location, it was quiet in a busy town and super clean and friendly. (My only beef was with some of the other "travelers" who need to look up the definition of "respectful behaviour" The staff, especially the kitchen staff, were delightful. Thank you, mr. Children are permitted to stay at Rotorua Central Backpackers but must be accompanied by an adult and either stay in a private room or a privatised dorm. An accompanying adult, staying in the hostel at the same time, can provide consent for a child to stay in a private room alone. Good location. Super good staff and service, very helpful staff
