The atmosphere was incredibly social and welcoming everyone was so friendly, and there were activities every night that brought people together. A special thanks to Gehan, who was super helpful with all the information I needed. Funny enough, visiting Ella wasn’t even in my original plan I came here on a friend’s recommendation but it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my Sri Lanka trip. Another highlight was meeting Alex, who made the evenings extra special with fun games and a family dinner outing. Most of the games were completely new to me, which made it even more exciting to learn and join in. Everything about Hive Hostel was warm, fun, and memorable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ella, and I’m already looking forward to going back soon!

The best part was the breakfast, which for the value was incredible, I highly recommend this hostel.

All rooms have a safety deposit box. Perfect location, quiet and closed to the city center, with an Host 100%. I really enjoyed to stay at this place and I fully recommended it. Located around 48 km from Hakgala Botanical Garden, the hostel with free WiFi is also 49 km away from Horton Plains National Park. The accommodation provides entertainment staff and a shared kitchen. This was the best hostel we’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka! We met so many friends here and continued travelling with them. The staff were wonderful and made it very easy for us to plan activities and socialise with other people. The dorms are clean, beds have curtains, the shower has warm water, the breakfasts were delicious and the hostel’s location is superb! The staff are very friendly and really look out for you! Someone in our group left a camera behind (which we only noticed once they told us) and they organised to transport it to Negombo for us at almost no cost!
